So Audio Technica is soon to be releasing their newest wireless Bluetooth sports headphones named the ATHSPORT70s, and I for one cannot wait to try them out!

Here are three reasons whyI’m super excited to try out the Audio Technica ATH-SPORT70s

1 They are Potentially Powerbeats 3 Beaters

If you’ve been on the YouTube channel you may be aware that the Beats Powerbeats 3 headphones are currently in my view the best sports headphones on the market right now. They are durable, have great sound and are very light – it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them. The Audio Technica ATH-SPORT70s have the same ear hook design, which I feel is the best shape for sports headphones to be in terms of them staying on your ear securely, they weigh less than the Powerbeats3 and they have 9mm drivers which are great for giving a crisper sound

2 They’re made by Audio Technica

I currently use the ATH-M50 headphones when I do my video editing, I recently bought some A700x headphones which sound amazing. I’m excited to find out if these ATHSPORT70s will be in tune with their brothers and sisters in the Audio Technica lineup.

3 They’re IPX5 Rated – Basically waterproof (to a degree)

In my opinion, the headphones that you workout in need to have some level of liquid protection to them, maybe you sweat a lot or you go out jogging and it’s raining a little bit. Either way, no sports headphone should have the right to be labeled as such unless it has adequate liquid resistance out of the box. These are IPx5 rated which will give you protection from jets of water in any direction, so in theory, you could actually wear them in the shower and they should hold up.

At the moment all signs point to these being a great pair of headphones, all that’s left to do is to hope that they deliver on these impressive-looking specifications. Stay tuned to the YouTube channel where I hope to do a review of them very soon.
