I recently made a video on the subject of Dr. Sebi and Sea Moss. In this video, I explored who Dr. Sebi was, what Sea Moss is, and why people regard it so highly.

Many of my friends and family talk about Sea Moss as something you really should have in your diet, because of all of the benefits it’s reported to give you.

The reason Dr. Sebi was mentioned in the video is that he was somebody who really brought sea moss into the spotlight and stood by the effects of sea moss (when prepared correctly).

After making the video, I was interested in taking sea moss for the first time but for me, it was important to answer certain questions before doing so.

So in this article, I will answer some of the questions I had as a person taking sea moss for the first time. Such as what does sea moss gel taste like, how to tell if sea moss gel has gone bad, how long can you keep sea moss gel in the refrigerator and lots lots more.

If you are taking sea moss for the first time, feel free to use this article and hopefully you find something useful. Also, leave a comment below and share your experience.

What Does Sea Moss Gel Taste Like?

So my first move was to buy some sea moss gel.

The taste of sea moss isn’t striking at all.

Imagine it like apple pie filling without the taste. Not sweet, not sour or salty in the slightest, just mild.

This is why taking sea moss is so easy, it doesn’t have a pungent odor to make it difficult or a chore to take.

So adding it to a morning smoothie, fruit juice, water, or protein shake for example isn’t a hard thing to do.

How Does Sea Moss Gel Get Delivered?

I knew a couple of people who sold sea moss gel through friends, but upon asking them the finer details as to what sort of sea moss it is they’re selling, whether it’s organic, wild harvested, what country it’s from etc, they weren’t able to tell me.

One thing I learned through doing my research is that there are several forms of sea moss and not all of the types you can buy are the same quality.

So I went the commercial route and found a vendor online.

Taking Sea Moss for the First Time – All You Need to Know

I went online and found a seller who was selling sea moss gel in sizeable amounts, I made a 1kg order.

After I ordered 1kg, I thought to myself maybe 1kg might be too much, but you can actually freeze sea moss and it will be good for months. So worst case scenario, it won’t go to waste.

The sea moss arrived in a plastic sack, and I soon realized I needed a jar to store this in.

So my next move was to order an airtight mason jar for storage in the fridge.

I was told it’s not recommended to store this sea moss at room temperature.

I go into how I felt after taking sea moss in the video above.

The main thing I noticed after about a week was a boost in energy, I didn’t have that groggy slow feeling upon waking up I usually have in the morning, which was very noticeable to me.

I have to mention that there isn’t a lot of research on the benefits of sea moss, so the reported benefits aren’t proven, a lot of the claims are anecdotal.

But I will say that I felt a difference, enough of a difference to buy more and continue using it.
